(Belated) Eye Candy Friday

Whew! That was not the best week, but it’s done now. Knitting? Got none. Well… maybe a little, but I offer some October in Ottawa pictures to distract you from the lack of knitting content. The picture on the left is one of the many walking paths in my neighborhood. My Fall Cable KAL project has seen quite a bit of work – I’ll probably pick up the collar this weekend and start the sleeves. I’ve been working hardest at my Socktoberfest socks, a few people had expressed interest in the pattern, so I’m jotting notes as I do up the second sock and hopefully, next week I’ll have a pdf of the design for whoever may like to knit them up. My Six Sox “Dragon Scales” are coming along too – the colour was a bit much to face this week (migraine) but I’ll finish sock one during movie night tonight. Mostly, it’s been all about the Yarn Porn this week (cue bad 70’s guitars). I really didn’t think I had bought much this month – it all just kinda showed up in the mail this week. Parcels from Australia, monthly sock club kits and some awesome good sales (thanks Jayne!). I just love all this gorgeous yarn potential:

Noro Transitions for a big t-neck pullover, D. Bliss Cashmerino Chunky for a cabled pull, Claudia Handpaints and pattern (October Sock Kit) and Jo Sharp Silkroad Tweed for the “Tweed Along” KAL (all the way from Oz!)

Must go and do Litigation homework – it really sucks to miss a class, I am WAY too old to have to do double assignments – hurts my brain!

Hasta Tarde…

  1. You’re welcome! Trying to figure out which of “my” sales you shopped. I got some of that transitions — it’s pretty remarkable. Thank you for the autumn path, very soul-feeding. I would love to walk that path this week with all that gorgeous colour. Love the sound of leaves underfoot too.
