Worsted For Wear

Thank goodness all these projects that are currently on my plate are worsted weight! Right at the moment it feels like no progress at all but things are being whittled down.

SPNF#9 is finished:

And SPNF#10 is on the hook and progressing well:

I like this stitch pattern but was looking for something that would have a stronger horizontal “feel” as a compliment to the very vertical look of the knitted version in this same shade. I’m looking at it and it is much bigger now and contemplating unravelling and going with a different stitch.

Poor ‘ole SPNF #7 is still plodding along. Its not that I don’t like it or care to work on it, just seems that anything worked in a twisted stitch doesn’t move along as quickly as other stitches do. The rows lack the typical stitch height, to me anyway.

I was able to pick up DS’ afghan and sort out the pattern stitch (the book is still packed and stacked under a myriad of boxes) without trouble and although it is already rather large and ungainly to work, what with it’s current size and the seven skeins for the colourwork, I’m enjoying it and pick it up almost as often as these last couple of scarves.

I call this “Circuit Knitting”.

Its kind of like circuit training but far less sweaty and really helps to keep my fingers shapely!

My Jimmy Beans order, several skeins of Crystal Palace “Mini Mochi” to make this gorgeous Chameleon Baby Blanket, made a circuitous trip in getting to me but I picked it up at the P.P. yesterday and am anxious to  start. This yarn shop has THE best customer service.

I’ve a busy week ahead, hope to have an FO or two to show off when I’m back here.
