No knitting to speak of this weekend. I’m slowly working my way through the beaded bind off of Addewid. It’s hard to wrap up a truly enjoyable project.
I did cake the six luscious skeins of Unique Sheep Luxe that I’ll be using for the upcoming mystery KAL:
The theme is loosely based on the Oliver Twist tale by Dickens and designed by Janine La Cras, who also designed the Peter Pan shawl that I knit a few months ago. Should be another fun project. I’m taking my colour inspiration from the musical version “Oliver!” and the song: You’ve Got To Pick A Pocket or Two, I’ll be working this project in the “You Zig, I Zag” colourway (just as Fagin sings about for the boys) with S/L chartreuse AB beads in size 6. The yarn base is Luxe, a merino and Tussah silk blend.
The KAL begins with the first clue to be released on 19 September and… I’m ready 🙂
Saturday wa s bit out of the norm. My daughter and I had a bonding date and went to get tattoos together. This was her first tattoo and my most recent. The day couldn’t have been better, wrapping up with a late lunch and glass of wine on the patio of a neighbourhood pub. The perfect way to enjoy the waning days of summer temperatures here in the Nation’s Capital 🙂
Wishing you all a gentle Monday. Cheers!
Ooh! Good choice 🙂
