I Got Nuthin’

Currently reading ‘Girl Waits With Gun’. Just finished Vonnegut’s ‘Breakfast of Champions’ – loved it! Totally bizarre and entertaining.

Sothia: at the last section –  793 stitches – must push through

Lilli Pilli: love it. On the 3rd section but all the garter is killing me. Garter is why I don’t worship at Stephen West’s feet – adorable as he is!

Next: reclaim Moorland yarn and start Moorland Cardi over again. Note to self – don’t lose your notes! Finish Opulent Pullover #2 – has been in WIP too long. Start Ariel pullover because… mermaids!

I’m a little… blecched out about blogging lately. I generally keep PSPRP very light and fluffy and leave the angst to the ole poetry blog but sometimes, there’s spillover. Some of the ‘blue’ has to do with odd follower patterns – lets face it – we blog to be heard, at least a little. There is a lot of ‘tit for tat’-ishness in blogging and I don’t have the cycles for it – healthwise, timewise or tolerancewise.

I refer to people who are all over your blog like white on rice and then the moment you follow them back, they never interface with you again. It happens a lot in the poetry blog realm but there’s spillover into the craft blog realm where once, there was a much more nurturing and interactive spirit. I’ve no problem saying this irks me. I wonder more about the people who are incredibly supportive but then for no discernible reason, suddenly stop liking or commenting but continue to visit the blog. These are the most puzzling to me – I can’t help but wonder if a post may have given offence. Clearly, the information itself must still be interesting or they wouldn’t come to read. What is it then that makes them no longer wish to support by even the expedient and ubiquitous ‘like’?

Please understand – this isn’t whiny or self-pitying – I’m far too happy a person in my real life for that – I do wish to understand though. I consider myself a loyal follower – if I’m following you, I really like your content. I may not get to every post due to health, time, etc. nor do I expect my followers to like every single post. Who wants to be just a click from the reader? I will say that for folks who post more than twice a day or do nothing but reblog their old work or are constantly hawking their wares or other social media sites, I skip those. This is more an issue among poetry blogs, no idea why though. I find it overwhelming to see ten posts a day from the same person.

Anyway… This started as a legit question in my mind when I noticed the length of time since my last post and my lack of desire to – where once I was excited to share at least every few days. I welcome feedback on my content – the ‘message me’ tab is for sending private emails to PSPRP. I do notice that some folks are no longer actively blogging but that’s different from folks are still visit here and are silent. I’m interested to know what precipitated the withdrawing of the friendly exchanges.

OT: I shall now hawk my wares – not the books, the good stuff. I have been updating my Etsy shop like a madwoman, mostly with needlework kits and patterns. Many of us cross over between fibre crafts and I’m offering many old, OOP, Limited and HTF items from Mirabilia, Just Nan, Charland Designs, Emie Bishop and more.

Main page of KeiB Designs is here: My Shop

My posts like this I view as an invite to a Tupperware (no pun, maybe a little) party – I in no way expect you to buy anything but would love the support of a ‘favourite’ or ‘follow’.

We now return you to more fibre-y posts!

    • Sometimes I’d like to but all my blogs are ‘public’. I get that people may not always comment, busy, shy or whatever. Shy, I really understand. It’s those who 180… So odd!

      • I don’t get much of any of it really. It’s a world I don’t get so I don’t try. I just follow the spirits I’m drawn to, it’s like meeting you at the park.
