You Can Take The Girl Out Of The 80’s…

But you’ll never get the 80’s out of the girl! 😉

Goth-Stonians Legwarmers have gone live on Ravelry!

Please download and get creative – it’s free for the remaining month of August – a little kick-start to the beginning of the knitting season.

Fast, fun, affordable. One skein of Cascade 220 or any worsted, some imagination and these become totally unique.

Huge loves to my amazingly beautiful and talented daughter for supplying photos for me Hell no! You wouldn’t catch me on heels that high anymore – unless a palanquin and two studly dudes come with purchase!

Remember These?

I’m dancing like a four-year old on apple juice – or… erm… a forty-year old on hard cider :p

My Goth-Stonian Legwarmers… Now with PEOPLE INSIDE THEM! 🙂

This will be my next freebie from KeiB Designs as soon as I have a 2nd styling option knit up. The possibilities are endless for customising, making these a fast, affordable and fun gift knit. Stay tuned and here’s the new portfolio – now with more cowbell! 😉

KeiB Designs Freebie Page Updated

I’ve threatened to do it forever, I know but finally, the page has been updated!

There is now a photo gallery of the designs and the download links are in green to make them easier to find. Clicking the link opens a PDF copy of the pattern that you can then save to your own computer.

I’ve added a new crochet scarf pattern, Carré Glace that I hope you’ll like and there will be more to come in the future.

As mentioned on the page, I’d be delighted if you share your finished projects on Ravelry by linking your project page to the pattern page.

Please note, like all KeiB Designs, these are copyrighted and for personal use only. Please ask if you wish to use them for charity knitting or teaching purposes. Thank you!

New Pattern Releases

I’ve just updated the blog to include “Buy It Now” options to purchase my two ebooks, The Arcadian Collection and Memories Of Egypt. Descriptions of each are available by clicking their titles on that page.

The tab is just above on this page: “KeiB Designs” and here is a direct link:

I’ll be updating both this and the free pattern page in the next few days, with a couple new designs and with direct download buttons.

Please feel free to share 🙂

I’ve updated the free KeiB Designs pattern page and you can find those here:

This is still a work in progress, so please check back now and then.

ETA: Both pattern pages have been updated 🙂

Hm-m-m… Perhaps A Title?

Voila! Finished “Rockets Ripples”. It has already been gifted and the recipient is happy (the whole story behind the scarf – handyed, handspun, handknit) really appeals to some people 🙂 !

The “Kiri Shawl” is coming along. What a joy to knit with the Sundara Silky Merino Aran – it is some kinda gorgeous! I need to transfer it to a keeper thread and get a feel for how big it will be, likely I’ll use three skeins.

My March clubs are arriving… The first in the Embrace The Lace club is absolutely spectacular (of course – thank you Jen). And my March Stash Menagerie is soft, squishy, soft, subtle and soft… :). No idea exactly what sweater it will be but a cardi for sure.

I’m off to knit on this snowy (!) Ottawa evening but before I go… here’s the Yarn Pr0n:

Sweetheart Ripples Scarf – ETA 14 March 2009

So, I’ve finally got the live download links up and running over at “Pointe Shoes Pursuits“. Clicking the pattern titles will take you to a printable, PDF version of the pattern, clicking the thumbnail will take you to a more detailed view.

No real knitting progress – everything is still in “WIP” status but here are a couple Yarn Pr0n photos to pretty up this post…

If you’ve been trying to print this pattern from a Ravelry download… hasn’t worked. The print function is fixed now . If someone tries and it still doesn’t work – please let me know.
For anyone who has been checking at “Pointe Shoes Pursuits”, I still don’t have a download button I do now :)!

New KB Design Pattern

“Sweetheart Ripples Scarf” has (finally) been published. It is currently available on Ravelry as a free download. I’ll be making it available from Pointeshoes Pursuits just as soon as I can redesign my download buttons (help gladly accepted ha ha!)

The original yarn used for the design is A Swell Yarn’s Duets DeKAY a gorgeous, body-ful yarn that knits like a dream and gives wonderful stitch definition. Feel free to experiment with your own yarn choices that have similar qualities.

Other KB Designs can be viewed from the My Patterns link in the right-hand navigation pane.

Thanks for looking and have an awesome weekend!

What’s Doin’ This Week

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments about “Mr. Greenjeans“. He was a joy to knit, and fast too :)!

As mentioned on Ravelry, here is the first installment of the Graphic Designer Scarf challenge. DD wanted a specific colour, and has always been persnickety about softness, width, length, etc. of anything she wears :)! So, with the drop of a (beautifully knitted) gauntlet, I was off with some yarn and a graph pad, working out her latest scarf.

There are lots of discussions revolving around design, composition, colours and all that stuff in our house and I wanted this design to reflect some of what DD is always talking about.

So here ’tis. Graphic Designer I is the beginner version of this scarf. It’s the sketch of an idea, but already having “good bones” of design. It can be developed even further, and will be in Graphic Designer II…. As always, I only have one test knitter, so if you find any errors in the pattern, please let me know, and I love to see FO’s of my design, so if you make one – don’t be shy – send me a photo or link :)!

My October Booty Club package arrived this week, I finished the Chevron Scarf (finally!) and restarted my Sunray Shawl, and also started my Sockamania November socks.
