Look at these adorable fluffy butts! I bet you feel better already 😀
Progress on my “Prairie Fire“: working on sleeves now, all that remains to finish and submit for my Q1 stars. I don’t think that I can face making the same project again in a different size – the requirement for a bonus star so, I’m going to cast on two versions of TinCanKnits “Gothic Lace Cowl” and use up the leftovers from my “Persian Dreams” afghan and Hannah’s “Petra the Pony” softie.
We’ve had two days of more civilized temperatures and this always peps up my bear-like winter persona. This means the knitting should get a boost, the Ebay & Etsy may be refreshed with new stock and… if the energy holds, I’ve purchased a lovely leaning, ladder shelf to store / show off my shawls and it needs putting together.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mmmm… Yarn… 🙂
The gallery for my 2017 finished projects is up, you can check them out here:
A few more projects have jumped on to the needles since New Year’s Eve.
First up is the Prairie Fire pullover for the first quarter KAL in Eat.Sleep.Knit’s 2018 Yarnathon. I’m working this in Tosh DK and it’s lovely; more of a cotton feel and handle than a traditional woolly hand. I’ll be starting the lower band shortly and then just the sleeves to finish up.
Speeding along on a few WIP’s; my Petrichor Cardigan is nearly complete and I have a few of the colours that I’ll be using in “Hue Shift” – photos to come once all yarn has arrived. I’m really stoked about the variety of projects we’ll be working on this year!
It’s a new year, a new-ish job, same old cat that I adore, another birthday and some big changes to come…
I hope your own 2018 kickoff is going well. Cheers!
Better late than never 😉
Despite the lack of blog posts in 2017, there was a vast amount of knitting and crochet completed and I hope to have that gallery finished and added to the Gallery Tab up above. The bulk of my projects were done as part of Eat.Sleep.Knit’s annual Yarnathon and I’m happy to say that my team, the Peppermint Ponies, were the winners. It was a great year for honing some skills and trying new things.
2018 promises to be another fun version of the Yarnathon with the theme being “Under The Sea”. Appropriately, I’m on team “Her-knit” crab :). All teams are already on the board and I’m excited for another year of fun, friendship and fibre-y goodness.
Our first Q1 KAL is to knit a Tin Can Knits pattern and I’m working “Prairie Fire” in some scrummy Tosh DK and it seems like a good start to this year’s projects. I’ve never done resolutions but I do hope to post more often, design a little more and still have a life in the 3D world. We’ll see how it goes; life is always changing and evolving and I’ve learned to… just keep swimming 😉
