I’m In Trouble

The evil folk at Berroco have released a new yarn line called “Amano“.

I need a bib. And a llama daddy. And two more pairs of hands…

The news came via Webs and so I’m sharing their info page. You’ll want to get a bib before you look. I don’t care for bulky or chunky but could make an exception for “Puyu” and will be whining emailing Berroco today to beg suggest they manufacture a worsted weight version.

On the heels of the computer screen cleanup, another “ping” distracted me from my latest project – not Amano but you know, kinda okay (Falling Leaves Lalala…) and Meg, the evil temptress dye diva at Twisted! had sent notification that a former club colour “Zen” will be available to the rest of us!

I am definitely in trouble here and if you know a llama daddy who needs a gig, send him my way!

Have a wonderful weekend peeps!

Winter Is Coming… Knit Faster!

I have some lovely Bulky and Chunky weight still kicking around and won’t be using it this season. There is enough of each of these lots to make at least a scarf and I’d love if they went to a home where they’ll be used up. All details can be found by clicking the link to my Ravelry Sale page. As always, if anyone purchases two or more lots, I will share the cost of the calculated shipping cost. If you have any questions, feel free to PM or to message me on Ravelry.

Hello There

An unintended break happened. Probably a good thing, my brain is on serious overload – pretty sure I look like the definition of “Cat on a hot tin roof”. I can always make stuff, thank goodness. Keeps me sane. Mostly…

I’m working a store sample for “Filigree”, to be carried at my LYS if all goes well. Still on the prototype for “Lotus and Bamboo”. My crossed v. twisted stitches were not cooperating with the cable effect I was looking for. I think I’m sorted now and if this goes as planned, I think it’ll be lovely!

I was out the weekend past to a private home show for YvieKnits Yarns, Fancy That and Natalie Servant Designs; three wonderfully talented ladies that I’m happy to call my friends. The temptress Joanne, from Wild Woolly joined them this time and of course, I went home with more than I planned to! I allowed myself some of Yvonne’s silk merino in two different bases for a new design (possibly an older one if the LYS wants another pattern) and I couldn’t resist some of WW’s wonderful handmade soaps, lotion bars and a body lotion. I’ll need to shower three times a day to use all this up!

FO Friday :)

I just realized how badly misinterpreted that post title could be by knitting muggles…

Alas, they shall have to remain uninitiated :p

I wrapped up the prototype for “Filigree” today and am mostly happy with it. I’m going to tweak a thing or two for the testknit. I reclaimed some Handmaiden Camelspin in the rose garden colourway for the that. I’m looking forward to knitting it all over again!

My Lazy Ripple is done too, so lazy that I’m not going to block it. It’s lazy because there weren’t formal row counts. This was meant totally for stashbusting and so I used every bit of all the skeins. I like how it came out and I hope there’ll be some babies show up in my circle to gift it to 🙂
