Ringin’ Hellz Bellz

I had to!

LCC was in process for so long, I was glad to see the end of it when I published the pattern. This was just before I revamped my style sheets with a better layout, more visually appealing font and photos and what I hope is a better format in general to work from.

My BFF, has been knitting this as a store sample for our LYS and asked me for some clarifications the last time I popped in for knitting and sushi – make those sticks do double duty! Kidding :p

Based upon her questions, I opted to reknit the blasted thing, hence “Hellz Bellz” and you’re welcome for the ACDC earworm! I’ve wound up making some tweaks that I think greatly improve the pattern, specifically in how it reduces finishing a lot and I added a finishing option that makes this design Unisex as well.

The redux will be available very shortly (purchased updated automatically via Ravelry) and will include this variation “Plum Delphiniums” below and some updated photos of the prototype and test knit:

Matinée II ~ Finished

Carnelian (pattern: Matinée II) is off the needles 🙂 I love the Alegría by Manos del Uruguay and will definitely use it again. I don’t have the exact metres and grams yet; it is a little different from Matinée but that’ll come soon. Carnelian is the “large” version and the size variations are a nod to the two most standard put ups for sock and fingering yarns. The finished accessories come out to very similar dimensions due to the pattern differences.  I’m lagging a bit on getting the patterns finished but have high hopes for the rest of the day. Hope your day is wonderful 🙂

Matinée II

It’s good to have options and so this is a variation on Matinée. There’ll be a faux lapped placket, perfect to show off handmade buttons or a special shawl pin. The construction is a tiny bit different from version I, perhaps even easier :).

Test knit is underway:

I’m really liking “shopping the stash”. Having to move x2 really brought home to me how quickly things accumulate! Organizing my stash so that it’s tidy but visible helped. I’d had things neatly packed in banker’s boxes in closets but out-of-sight doesn’t exist for me. Getting everything onto Ravelry was a huge help too. The “Stash” used to be much less functional, more like a catalogue. I remember when there wasn’t a place for the price… Now that you can cross-reference to your queue and new projects, it’s amazing how much I’ve been able to work through. How much I have left to go is another story for another day! 😉
