The gallery for my 2017 finished projects is up, you can check them out here:
Finished Projects 2017
A few more projects have jumped on to the needles since New Year’s Eve.
First up is the Prairie Fire pullover for the first quarter KAL in Eat.Sleep.Knit’s 2018 Yarnathon. I’m working this in Tosh DK and it’s lovely; more of a cotton feel and handle than a traditional woolly hand. I’ll be starting the lower band shortly and then just the sleeves to finish up.
Speeding along on a few WIP’s; my Petrichor Cardigan is nearly complete and I have a few of the colours that I’ll be using in “Hue Shift” – photos to come once all yarn has arrived. I’m really stoked about the variety of projects we’ll be working on this year!
It’s a new year, a new-ish job, same old cat that I adore, another birthday and some big changes to come…
I hope your own 2018 kickoff is going well. Cheers!
It’s the final weeks of December and once again I’m wondering where the heck this year went?! It’s been a pivotal year for me in my personal life (but that’s another blog site) altogether a very good one 🙂 A few more projects have flown off the needles and one or two may even make the deadline before New Year’s Eve (I still need a date – interviews being conducted – ha!)
My Solace Cardi is finished and I loved working with SweetGeorgia’s Worsted. The hand is soft and squishy with great stitch definition and the “Ultra Violet” colourway is the most exquisite mix of every purple that my little heart could wish for. A few mods along the way and some to try in another version of this, should I make another.

Next up was a quickie knit for my “Silk Sweetheart” badge and a great reason to justify buying some Madeline Tosh Merino|Silk – well worth it!
Mandala Bias Scarf and Ravelry Info:
Speeding along on a few WIP’s; my NoFa Shawl and Ellington Socks photos and Ravelry details are linked to their names in green italic. Crossing my fingers to have those finished and a clean (more or less) craft slate for 2017. The next few days will be filled with cooking and a wee bit of baking for the holiday. My own crew will be here at home base for a few days, visiting various and sundry in-laws and outlaws and then I’ll have a little down time to spend with friends before a new year, another birthday and some big changes to come.
I hope your own countdown to Yule (or whatever) is going smoothly and happily and that you find a moment or two to relax and knit (or whatever). Cheers!
Someone needs to tell my next door neighbour to stop lifting weights outdoors. So far, I’ve planted a flip-flop, watered my picnic table and mulched the recycle bins!
My day yesterday ^ as spring is here in full, bringing flowers, motorcycles, sunshine and shorts back to The Capital.
I also managed to block my ‘Jacaranda Shawl‘. This felt like an accomplishment as the blasted spring cold I’ve had refuses to bugger off. ‘Jac’ has come off the blocking board large but light weight and was a great way to use up some very pretty stash.

It’s technically WIP Wednesday but technically, I’ve had WIP’s since I was five or six! Hopefully, some of those – even the dead boring ‘Duane Park Triangle’ will be done by next week. Could this Process Knitter be changing her ways??? Nahhh….
Happy Hump Day All and don’t double park your camel!
Don’t know about y’all but March came in like a lion here and tried its damnedest to go out that way too. Fortunately, it’s just rain that’s teeming down at the moment and getting rid of the remnants of snow and ‘snirt’.
The end of March is the end of National Crochet Month and I’m super stoked about my FO’s this year. I’m pretty sure I’ve hooked more in the last month than I normally do in six! I have five FO’s and one ‘also ran’. I’ve yet to snag more of the YP yarn to finish what was project two and I really don’t want to end it where it is – OCD alert.
So, on this first of April, here are all of the crochet things! 🙂

Shouldn’t have packed up the existing stash… I thought I’d run out of yarn!
I spied this exquisite bit of goodness when Ellen at Earthfaire posted it as an option for the Nadira Shawl. As I seem to have lost my mind to lace knitting of late, I had to have it. It was finally restocked last week and so, I grabbed some, along with beads – not called for in the pattern but a tiny touch of that I think will look well.
