Cast off on 14 July and blocked on the 15th. Happy with this one – used up more ancient stash and thoroughly enjoyed the pattern. I don’t think I’m in the running for a winning jersey but pleased to have another unique garment to offer in my shop 🙂
Details: “Gavrinis Shawl“and I’m working the large size in Elann’s Alpaca Fina, a sportweight on the skinny side in the colourway ‘Alpine Violet”.

Begun. Once again, my friend Natalie is hosting her annual Tour de France KAL. The design is her “Gavrinis Shawl“and I’m working the large size in Elann’s Alpaca Fina, a sportweight on the skinny side in the colourway ‘Alpine Violet”.
I’m just starting the second repeat of Section D and have really enjoyed this pattern. I’m sure that it’ll slow down significantly now as there are 401 stitches and a second repeat of Section E before the border and cast off but… it keeps me out of the pub! JK 🙂
Here is a link to my project details and the group discussions are taking place on her Ravelry group. The photo below is not a purple tribble but my TdF 2016 at the start of the first Section D:

And… I’m off! Not to watch the Tour but to listen to ‘Les Triplettes de Belleville‘ – awesome soundtrack to a wonderful full-length cartoon that features the Tour.
Better late than never 🙂
Although my branch came to Canada as Loyalists during the American Revolution, many Tuppers chose to stay and odds are very good, we be cousins!
I’ve been working away on my Tour de France KAL shawl, my friend Natalie’s lovely Gavrinis and loving it. I expect I should have Chart D finished this evening.
